The TTRC staff and herd welcomed The Dude home after six weeks of training and polishing up his skills. We are grateful to Jan Corum of Wea Valley Ranch for working with our Dude.
Many of the volunteers have quite a soft spot for this guy -- he can be a heck of a charmer. And our riders love his shaggy good looks.
As some of you may know, The Dude (The Big Lewbowski) is a Gypsy Vanner who hails from LexLin Gypsy Ranch in Tennessee. The youngest member of our herd, he came to TTRC quite young and green. Draft breeds mature more slowly, so it has been a process of patience and consistency to help The Dude become a therapy horse.
The Therapeion team is dedicated to making sure all of our horses receive the care, training, exercise, and practice they need to help them be the best they can be for our students.
