VOLUNTEER
“The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the greatest intention."
― Oscar Wilde
Therapeion Therapeutic Riding Center would not be able to provide its services without the help of our wonderful volunteers. Our volunteer mentors are the backbone of Therapeion's programs. As a Therapeion class volunteer you will receive training in safety, horse handling and grooming, and the skills needed to work with our very special participants. We appreciate any and all help, no matter how many hours or what type.

While many of our volunteers have experience with horses or working with people with special needs, it is by no means a requirement. All of our volunteers, no matter their experience, attend an orientation to familiarize themselves with our safety and operational procedures. After completing your training new volunteers are partnered with experienced volunteers for their first few classes to help them become more comfortable before working independently.
Many other volunteer opportunities are also available.
